Project Description

We created this Scandi style study nook to create a practical solution in an otherwise unusable space. Space is at a premium in this inner-city apartment. Utilising the available space effectively was important for this young couple who were now forced to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With limited storage elsewhere in the property we designed a large storage cabinet with internal drawers for clothing and linen along with hanging space and additional shelving. This created a multi-functional solution that could be tailored to suit our customer’s needs.

This storage unit was integrated into the space and tied into the existing bulkhead to ensure it felt like it was always part of the space rather than an after-thought.

Shelving was added to the adjacent wall to create additional storage or a space for interior décor. We positioned the desk in front of the window to provide plenty of natural light which created a calming environment with a good size work area.
